Who we are

StreamEmote runs this website, the StreamEmote plugin for OBS Studio and the service that computes your values. In this policy, "we" means StreamEmote.

Health data notice

Heart rate and the other values StreamEmote estimates are health data. We process them only with your explicit consent, which you give in a separate step after creating your account. This is the text you consent to:

What we collect

• Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, your email address, the platform and audience size you choose, the link or campaign that brought you (UTM tags and referrer), your country and a one-way hash of your IP address used only for rate limits. We email you once to confirm, then only about the launch. Reply to any of our emails or write to support to be removed.
• Account: your email address, the sign-in method you use (password, Google or Twitch) and your display name.
• Health values: the heart rate, breathing rate and HRV we compute while your StreamEmote source is connected, with the quality of the signal for each minute.
• Devices: for each computer you sign in from OBS, a device name, the operating system, the plugin version and the country the sign-in came from.
• Usage and billing: when your sessions ran, how many minutes they used, your plan and its payments. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
• Technical data: error reports and logs with ids and counters, which never contain health values, tokens or passwords.
• Analytics, only if you accept cookies: pages you view and buttons you click on this website, measured with Google Analytics. Before you accept, nothing is sent to Google.

Camera frames

Frames from your camera travel from OBS to our gateway and on to our inference processor, which computes the values and does not keep the frames. We never store your frames or any recording of your face.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist entries: until we launch and send the founding offer, or until you ask us to delete yours.
• Second-by-second values: 7 days.
• Per-minute values and highlights: for as long as your plan keeps history (shown on the pricing page).
• Session summaries: for the life of your account, unless you delete your health data.
• Live values sent to an open dashboard pass through Supabase Realtime, which keeps these messages for up to 3 days; they are deleted at once when you delete your health data or your account.
• Payment records at Stripe: deleted 30 days after you delete your account. Financial and audit records without health values are kept as the law requires, with your account reference removed.
• Logs and error reports: 30 days.

Who processes your data

• Supabase: database, sign-in and live updates (Realtime).
• Amazon Web Services: the gateway that receives frames from OBS.
• Our inference processor: computes the values from your frames and does not keep them. It is named in our processing agreement.
• Vercel: hosts this website.
• Stripe: payments, invoices and receipts.
• Resend: account, service and waitlist confirmation emails.
• Sentry: error reports, with personal and health data removed.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: bot protection on sign-up and sign-in.
• Google Analytics: website statistics, only after you accept cookies.
• Tally: the optional survey on the waitlist confirmation page, which receives your answers and your waitlist email.
• Each processor acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

Who can see your values

You. Our administrators can see session summaries and technical data to run the service, and can see per-minute or second-by-second values only with a recorded reason. A recap you share is visible to anyone with its link until you stop sharing it.

Export and delete

• From Settings you can export all your data, delete your health data (the second-by-second values only, or all of it), withdraw your consent, or delete your account.
• Withdrawing consent stops measurement and revokes any recap links you shared. Deleting your account removes your profile, devices and health data, including any live values still held by Supabase Realtime.
• You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct or delete it by email.

Cookies

• Necessary cookies keep you signed in, finish a sign-in from OBS securely, remember your cookie choice (se_consent) and show your waitlist confirmation page (se_wl). They don't need your consent.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, _ga and _ga_*) are set only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. We don't use advertising cookies.
